''He is not as smart as I am!''
Yes, we can learn so much from our fathers. Just read Inna Ivchenko post.
My dad used to say that you can learn something from everyone, even if you believe a person is dull and shallow. Yet, most likely... you do not know what you do not know. You simply assumed( aka appraised) and quickly placed your tag of value on that person, done!..
Well... No doubt, you are better in some things, but you can not be better in everything. The idea that some people around you are better or smarter than you are, and some people are ''not as good'' is simply toxic! We are no better or worse, we are... different.
People that you might look down upon, they are better than you and me in many aspects. You just cannot see it yet.
Perhaps, one day you will.
"Only one thing astonishes me more than the stupidity with which most people live their lives, and that's the intelligence of this stupidity."~ F. Pessoa
p.s. My thought about Q of working with people who are ''not as smart as you are''. What are your thoughts about it?
