Murrieta is a city that is located in the southwestern Riverside County in the State of California. The city population according to the last US Census in 2010 was 103466. Due to its majority residential character, it is classified as a commuter location. Many of its residents commute to their daily jobs in the neighboring counties. This city’s main employer is the military. However, there are other many major employers.
The city is well accessible via two major interstate freeways. The 1-215 freeway runs through the eastern side of the city while the I-15 freeway runs through the western side. There are other national roads passing through the city. Additionally, the city has a high-speed rail that serves residents and commuters to and from the city. A general aviation airport is within proximity in French Valley making this city easily accessible by air too.
The Fire Department is well established in the city, and they offer paramedic services for the City since 2000. The police department is well staffed hence they maintain law and order effectively. In the whole of Riverside County, this is the safest city and is the second safest in the whole of the United States. Rancho Springs Medical Center and Loma Linda Medical Center are the two hospitals that serve the residents of this city.
The city is served by eleven elementary (K-5) schools, three comprehensive (9-12) schools, and three middle (6-8) schools. More schools are being built as a result of the explosive population growth in the city. University of Phoenix and Azusa Pacific University satellite campus are located in this city. A veteran memorial is found in the city that consists of the memorial obelisk, an honor garden, and a World War II memorial wall.
Three 18-hole golf courses are within proximity of the city. Bear Creek Golf & Country Club, the California Oaks Golf Course, and SCGA Golf Course are strategically located for easy access from the city. There are also many other amenities making the city a splendid place to settle down. That is a city that is well-balanced and perfect for settlement.
