PeppersTo Start-  2.5  to 3 pounds of potatoes (Red or Yukon potatoes) serving 6 adults

 Turn on grill!

Clean and Slice (about 1/8 inch thick ) potatoes ,keep skins on, place in large mixing bowl and mix all the below ingredients together.

  •  1 medium onion sliced (optional)
  • Olive oil ¼ cup

  • 2 tbsps. of celery salt

  • 2 tbsps. of black pepper (I prefer fresh ground pepper)

  • 1 tsp. of sea salt or to taste

  • 1 tbsp. of garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. of paprika (optional)

Wrap in Heavy Duty Reynolds wrap.  I tear off  2 sheets  of – 2.5  feet each of  Reynolds wrap , make a cross with the sheets, place potatoes in center  of cross and bring four ends together so that potatoes are covered with Reynolds wrap( before closing up pour ¼ cup of water and slice 1 stick of  unsalted butter, then close)

Grill with top closed for about ½ an hour at 400 to 500 degrees. Open potatoes about 20 minutes into cook to see how they are doing and if you want to mix up the potatoes. I like mine crispy.  Clean –up is easy just throw away Reynolds wrap.  Enjoy….

Sounds simple enough, back in my days of being poor I used to just slice or wedge potatoes, throw some seasoning on them and stick them in the oven. Tastes good, is cheap & easy to clean up.

Probably tastes a lot better on the grill and with butter.
