I've been working with seller clients to get their home ready for market. When the mom says home with small children, as is the case with this family, the showing period is going to be stressful. One way to ensure that a home sells as quickly as possible is staging before it goes on the market.
I provide a stager for all my sellers. The way a home presents makes a huge difference, and a staged home will sell faster and for a better price.
In this case, the seller was unsure about the stager's recommendations for placing wall art. She had borrowed some additional paintings and prints from her mother, and wanted advice on where to hang what. So we were out there on three separate occasions.
I didn't begrudge the time or expense. I'm happy to give a motivated seller all the consultation time he or she needs during the staging phase.
The sellers worked quickly through their to-do list, and the house went on the market looking fabulous! We were priced above two other homes in the subdivision with the same floor plan, but there was no comparison.
We had two offers on Day 2.
