I'm in love!! (with my Nespresso machine)

I love to embrace technology and find myself excited everyday discovering new and creative inventions that can make life simpler or different.

However, I also have that recessive gene that doesn't allow me to replace something that is not broken so I see things that I force myself to wait for years sometimes, before I buy them. Yesterday was one of those days that I was allowed to cross another "want" off my list!

I am in love with this machine! (and suffering from a caffeine high!!!)

My coffee machine that sadly died a death this week, was a fabulous machine too:

Grind & Brew™ Coffeemaker from Cuisinart

Made a fabulous fresh 12 cups each morning after grinding our choice of bean - sadly, after a 5 year relationship we had to say goodbye!

I am now having fun discovering which coffee blend I enjoy the most (other than the espresso blends which are all my new faves!!)

If you have a Nespresso, please let me know which coffee is your favourite.

Susan last week we stayed a Ritz and guess what coffee maker was in the room? You got it! It does make a fabulous cup but there are no options for 1/2 caf 1/2 decaf which is what I drink. It sure was a good caffeine buzz thou!! Enjoy!!

Thanks A. I too normally lean towards the decaf blends and, because I enjoy an espresso after dinner, it just make sense so thanks for confirming that it is delightful. The milk frother came with this one so of course I use 1/2 and 1/2 with it and I might try it with Bailey's later

Anna Banana Kruchten that 1/2 blend is available now - they probably just didn't have it at the hotel. I haven't yet tried it - stay tuned!!

I kind of want to get one of those, but there is something about real beans and ground coffee that I like. Doing the old school french press right now every morning with some organic fresh ground coffee beans.

Stefan Winter I too was a fan of grinding the fresh beans in either my large machine or my French Press. I have to say I am pretty darn impressed with the flavour of the coffee sampled thus far. And I am a coffee snob, big time

We are still using a Gevalia coffeemaker that we got as part of a promotional offer almost 10 years ago. I have heard what a great cup of coffee the Nespresso makes. May have to consider it next.

Larry Johnston the Nespresso is perfect for those who do not want to grind their own beans, but I've found the coffee selections are far superior to other blends I've tried.
