Monday August 17, 2015 - Mega Leadership Camp 9am - 5pm
Today was my first taste of MAPS Mega camp. I have to say that it is far different than Family Reunion in that the presentation is more on-stage panels and few if any breakout sessions. Mega Leadership is about the leaders of our company coming together to help each other and share key points, tips, strategies, and success stories.
To say that the motivation and energy coming from that stage was powerful would be a huge understatement. I listened to Team Leaders from around the country that are far exceeding the goals that I have set for myself and my KW Market Center and my vision kept getting clearer and clearer. I was so motivated by the message they were delivering that while in session from 9am-5pm (including a 2 hour lunch break) I was able to successfully set 9 appointments with agents to help grow their business.
I have never set 9 appointments in 1 day and I did it only because I had the vision and the why in front of me. That makes a big difference and is one of my Aha's for the week.
State of the company
In the state of the company with Chris Heller (CEO) and John Davis (President), we learned that worldwide KW has about 125,000 agents and the international division is growing rapidly. Our leaders addressed topics such as the Zillow Group buying dotloop and that our plan is to shift from using Market Leader to a web platform called Placester. An overarching statement was "We entered into our agreements with our providers [DotLoop, MarketLeader, et al.] with the agreement that they can only share our information about our clients and our business with our permission. We have not given that permission and we will never give the permission to release our data". Just another affirmation that KW is all about the agents and is transparent about their agenda to be a company by agents for agents.
Technology Panel
Lots of great things are coming for KW Technology. Tools such as HomeKeepr and our new web platform for agents, Placester, will keep Keller Williams agents ahead of the curve and ahead of the competition in the industry.
Growth
Many Team Leaders, Operating Partners, and Market Center Administraters from around the country were interviewed on stage to share what they do to make a difference every day. The 4 Conversations were discussed at length (Appointments, Gross, Wall of Value, and Net Recruits). Every single time the top producers in growth and leadership spoke, the message came from a place where they knew they were helping change the lives of people in our industry. There is no doubt Keller Williams is the best company for agents because of our belief system and culture.
In closing, this has been a power 24 hours for me and I intend to continue with the momentum and change the activities of my day to be more like the person I want to be in 10 years
