Mama Gator Is Back! John Chesnut Park - Palm Harbor Florida

Mama Gator is indeed back at John Chesnut Park in Palm Harbor Florida. It is nesting season once again and this mama has her eggs already tucked away in the mulch covered nest.

Can you see her? Her snout is behind the fern and you can see her eyes watching! The park service has put up a fence to keep people away but I managed to get this photo between the spaces in the fence.

John Chesnut Park in Palm Harbor Florida is one of my favorite places for an early morning walk before starting the day!

Yes, I see her.  And, it makes me nervous to realize you were that close.  They are not to friendly when guarding their nest.

Yes, mama gator does indeed protect her babies and if not for the zoom on my iPhone, she would be much smaller in this photo.
