We Liked What You Did Before; Can You Do It For Less This Time
Have you had it happen to you?
You do a good job for somebody.
You sell their house in a reasonable time frame; you get them a price which satisfies them; you keep them well informed throughout the process; you're professionalism shows through in all of your statements and actions.
They like you enough that they recommend you to others.
But, a time comes in the future where they need your services again and they ask if you can do it at a discount, because they want to save some money and they wanted to use you because they liked what you did for them the last time.
I did not over charge you before when you were very satisfied with my services, so why do you think that I should do it for less this time?
Of course, we all want to save money, but you were satisfied the last time with the value that my services provided, so don't you think that my services are worth the same as before?
If I constantly give discounts to people because they liked me before, or they used me before, or they know me, or whatever, then do they think that I will be able to still give the same level of service?
"We'd like to save some money" Oh, lucky you, I'd like to waste some money.
