Would You Drive 2,500 Miles for Dinner?

Well, let's hit the road and begin the journey . . .

Yes, Dave & I drove 2512 miles for Maine lobster, but along the way we had several wonderful dinners with family members and friends.

Here are a few photos taken on our two week vacation through New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine & New Brunswick Canada and finally HOME.

Height of Land, Maine

Looking over Mooselookmeguntic Lake & Toothaker Island

Family members own 20 acres on Toothaker Island, accessible only by boat after driving ten miles on dirt road.

Eagle

Look up . . . eagle in center of tree

We spotted  eagle from our friends' boat while cruising through numerous feeder streams of St. John River in New Brunswick, Canada.

Cruising on Kennebecasis River, New Brunswick/Canada

We spent three wonderful days at home of our Canadian friends, Rod & Sandy Ritchie, who we met 7 years ago on Bahama cruise.  They visited our home in Erie, PA several years ago.  Rod & Sandy met us in Montreal two years ago and finally we made the trip to their home in New Brunswick, Canada.

 Buck

Three bucks got Dave's attention

Archers on the Pier

Lobster dinner at Archer's on the Pier was worth every mile.

Yes, every 2,512 miles!!!

I so enjoy a pleasant ride as the scenery is so captivating and diverse. That was a big loop you drove, and hopefully the fresh Maine lobster didn't disappoint.
