Measuring Success
“The real contest is always between what you’re done
and what you’re capable of doing. You measure
yourself against yourself and nobody else.”
Geoffrey Gaberino, Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer
As I see it . . . . . . .
Measuring success
The real measure of success is measuring your results . . . . against what you’re capable of achieving and doing.
It takes real courage to measure yourself against what you’re currently achieving . . . . and what you’re capable of doing. When you can make constant incremental improvement to what you’re doing today . . . . You become better then what you did yesterday . . . . and as a result you are better tomorrow.
Concern yourself about getting better . . . . not about what your competition is doing.
You are compensated for what you know . . . . and what you do with your knowledge and skills. Not for what the competition is doing.
When you compete with yourself you have make a decision to get better them you where yesterday . . . . and to make each day a day of becoming better at what you’re doing
The best way to earn more . . . . is by getting better . . . . and by applying what you know with a purpose.
Measuring success is measuring yourself . . . . against yourself . . . . and continually getting a little bit better each day . . . . As you improve you are putting down a strong foundation for your future success.
