Erie PA real estate agents:  Are you planning to work forever or are you planning for retirement?  Take a few minutes to read Robert's blog post.

Original content by Robert J. Russell 0479382, 723286

Most of you who read this will not like my comments and I am ok with that. The problem with this information is you want to pretend that this problem does not exist and therefore you are going to sweep this information under the rug........so get out the broom

FACT - 45% of you have saved NOTHING for your retirement. You are counting on Social Security to take care of you.

FACT - the 45% who are counting on Social Security can not make it today on social security income much less the pitance that SS will provide for you.

FACT - of the 45%ers - 50% of you will do nothing to take care of this issue (you are the broom sweepers)

FACT - of the other 50% of the 45%ers - 25% you will look into it and will put it off giving excuses like:
A. I can't afford to do that right now
B. I want to think about it
C. I want to talk it over with my brother's, uncle's, cousin, sister,
grandma's third step cousin. (all of these people who make
way less than you that you are getting advice from)
D. Will give a religious answer such as: God will provide for me.
(Homeless people have that same answer)

FACT - the remaining 25% of the 50% of the 45%ers will call me excited to find out that:
A. They can afford to do it
B That the savings retirement plan is distributed at retirement income tax free.
C. They don't have to wait until retirement to get their money.
D. They can pull out money before retirement for down payment on a house, college tuition or even for their retirement

So now that I have made most of you uneasy by this post.....where do you fall into?

oh...by the way I was one of the 5 finalist by Benefit Selling Magazine for the Top Brokers in the United States....so I am pretty sure that I can help you....just call me 972-679-9029.

This is a good choice for a re-blog.

It is a shame that many will have economic pressures in their older years.

Mary, I thought I had quite a nest egg saved, and then 2008 happened, and drug out over 4 years.    Back on track so I won't have to work at the age of 80.

Great choice for a reblog. I am indeed planning on working until I drop. I taught school for years, both in Europe and here in Florida, but this is going to be a long-term 'gig' that I am doing now.

I am planning for retirement and do not plan to sell real estate forever. I have lots of traveling I plan to do. But not yet, I still have work to do.

What a great re-blog, that is so true... Diane & I are the exception...since she has worked for a Law firm we have been doing some serious 401k contributions because of my roller coaster income...on a side note I was going to make a smart ass comment..."Realtors do not retire...they die from stress...":)))))) Endre

Mary - I know too many people that take  advice from others or look at others and say they're ok so I will be ok.
