It's been quite a year so far in the world of Real Estate here in Oklahoma. The housing market continues to recover and strengthen, although not as quickly in Owasso as in other parts of the world. This is largely because our housing values rise slow and steady. That means when the wheels fell off the housing market, our values didn't fall off the cliff nearly as much as many other areas, such as the coasts.
Here's a quick tour of the Owasso, Oklahoma housing market on August 20, 2015.

Now, for those who are visual learners, here's the data in chart form.

You can see that the sweet spot price range is $100,000 - $200,000 in Owasso, Oklahoma. This pricing is based on many factors including income, the housing market recovering in our area and strong new construction in this price range.
As expected, the number of Owasso homes sold since January 1, 2015 continues to decrease as you increase in price range.
An Anomaly?
What is somewhat surprising is that there were 5 Owasso home sales above a million dollars this year compared to none in the $900 to 1 million range. While this may be an anomaly it could be that there were more homes for sale in the more expensive category than the lower one. It could also be due to other factors such as price reductions and time on the market.
