As one of the leaders in contemporary Brazilian music, with an international reputation, Chico Pinheiro is a very talented guitarist and composer, with many awards including Best Latin Jazz Guitarist of the Year, and Best Brazilian Jazz Album of the Year, to his credit.
It was a true pleasure to be able to see Chico Pinheiro, playing solo, at the Musem of Making Music last night.
As a fan of Brazilian jazz I am well aware of Chico Pinheiro and the impact he has had on the latin jazz community. Seeing him perform live in a small venue here in Carlsbad was a particular treat.
