CARA's 8th Annual Dog Days of Summer ~ Pelahatchie Shore Park

Our local CARA (Community Animal Rescue and Adoption, Inc.) will host the 8th Annual Dog Days of Summer Saturday, August 29th, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Pelahatchie Shore Park at the Reservoir!

This is CARA's largest event of the year. There will be live music, a silent auction, children's carnival ($5.00) with a Petting Zoo and much more.

Arts and Crafts lovers, there will be something for you, too!

Hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs will be available from Outback Steakhouse, and a couple of radio stations will be broadcasting live from Pelahatchie Park.

Bring an extra $20 and take home your very own Tie-Dye T-Shirt!

CARA is a true no-kill shelter located in Jackson. Please come out and support them in supporting unwanted animals in our area. This is a worthy cause and a fun family event!

During the month of August, you can adopt a cat nine months or older for only $9. Contact CARA for more information.

Debbie Laity ~ The weather has cooled off this week in Brandon MS so I'm looking forward to The Dog Days of Summer at the park this weekend! Plan to do a little arts & crafts shopping and see families out with their pets. Brownie won't get to go...he interferes with my shopping!
