Are you “guessing” or “testing” when it comes to marketing your real estate business?

 

When you think about marketing your real estate business, are you trying to out think your prospects? Do you spend hours trying to guess what will make your prospects click on your Facebook ads? Have you ever wondered what will make your prospect open your direct mail piece? Newsflash...marketing your real estate business is not about what you “guess” your prospects will respond to. Marketing your real estate business is about testing and tracking.

 

When deciding how you will market your real estate business, you probably look yourself in the mirror and ask “would I respond to this marketing message?” Stop marketing your business based on YOUR response to your marketing! You are not selling you to you. You are selling you to someone else. Your prospect's have different experiences, tastes and dislikes than you.

 

Millionaire real estate agents don't guess, they try, test and course correct based on results. Just because you like Nike, doesn't mean your prospect doesn't prefer Reebok! Your real job as a marketer and real estate agent is to “track” your prospect's moves and provide them with more of what they like. That simple. When you do this, they will provide you with more of what you like, contracts, closings and referrals.

 

Marketing is not about YOU. It's about your prospect.

 

If you think direct mail is worthless and mailing a “silly” bank bag is a waste of time, you might be wrong. In fact, the video below say's its worth more than $30,000! You may think the bank bag is silly, your right prospect may think the bank bag is cool and unique and can't wait to see how you plan to market their home! Who's right? I guess the person who pays the bills?

Break out of “marketing to me” and do whatever it takes to get the attention of your prospect. At the end of the day, all you really need is an opportunity to start a relationship.

 

Real estate is a business. Business is a science. When real estate agents market, they want results. Now! Who cares about your guesses!
