Bridgewater Country Fair 2015, a Great Success

THIS YEAR THE TOWN OF BRIDGEWATER IN CONNECTICUT CONTINUED ITS PROUD AND TREASURED TRADITION OF HOLDING THE POPULAR BRIDGEWATER COUNTRY FAIR OVER THE WEEK-END OF AUGUST 21 - AUGUST 23, 2015.
The proverbial beasts of burden, the oxen, were demonstrating their strength, while others paitiently awaited their turn.
The slightly more automated displays of horsepower were on hand as well: the tractor pulls contests. There was even a tractor pull coompetition for the 10 and under crowd (little tractors were supplied by the fair - sign up for next year, advance registration required!).
Some bovine competitors were proud to display their ribbons, while others were content to snooze on a nice, warm day.
Scottish Highlands "hairy coos", as the locals there call them.
