Sometimes I get calls from prospective movers is when will there be an open house at local upscale townhome  in Danbury communities such as Woodland Hills, Timber Oaks, Sterling Woods and similar.

There is no set schedule for public open houses.  All condos and townhomes that are not new construction are privately owned. Open houses are at the discretion of the homeowner, as many do not feel it is necessary to do because of the Internet.  Even if the seller schedules an open house with their listing agent, I can generally not aware of it unless it is my personal listing.  Most sellers do not want strangers off the street going through their home.

The only open houses that I know that happen on a regular basis are the new construction projects. The people working their are trained to explain why their project is the best thing out there an why their units are the best. They are not even allowed to talk about the resale units or any possible negatives about the property.   My goal, if you hire me for your transaction, is to educate you on the entire market, explaining all positives and negative features so that you can make an informed decision.

If you are interested in moving into and purchasing a luxury townhome in the area, we will need to set an appointment.  I do require all interested buyers to come in with a preapproval letter from a reputable bank or mortgage broker to confirm that you are serious about purchasing a property, and have the proper qualifications to qualify if you find the right home.  I usually need about a days notice time in order to set up the showing so the owners have enough time to prepare their home and make the necessary arrangements to have buyers come through their Danbury condo. I usually like to do an initial consulting session with new clients to discuss their needs, time frame, expectations, the buying process and other items to ensure we can both on the same page for their house hunt.
