Night Time Computer Use

By
Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty

I recently moved to Durham, NC and do more reading at night on computer.  I sell real estate in the Durham area and am putting in many hours researching homes for my buyers.  As it gets darker around me the computer screen appears brighter.  I turn the brightness down but the screen still produces too much blue light.  I was looking for a solution and came upon an application called f.lux .

What f.lux does is warm up the screen color.  It takes way the white and blue and adds some yellow tints.  If you are familiar with photography you know the temperature of lights can affect the colors in your pictures.  I have used a few nights and it seems to work pretty well.  I have never had troubles going to sleep but didn't like having to manually adjust my screen brightness all the time.  Since this is automatic you never have to worry about doing that again.  Here is the  f.lux link
