Where is that chirping coming from?
Chirp! Chirp! I heard something chirping in my car and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I'd never heard my phone or iPad chirp, but I thought I may have accidentally pressed a button to cause it to happen.
I turned my phone and iPad off. The chirping continued. A chirp every minute on the minute. I called the mechanic. Over the phone diagnosis was not successful. Hmmmm. Chirp! Ugh.
I drove the mechanic, Sundwrenched Motor Werks and parked. Chirp! By this time, I was pretty convinced the issue had nothing to do with my car and that I was about to make a big fool of myself. I tore through my car and found the culprit.
There it was, right in my realtor supply kit. A carbon monoxide detector in need of a battery. Part of my kit is a carbon monoxide detector in case I need it for the appraisal if the seller hasn't had a chance to get one yet.
I did end up walking into the shop and told the mechanics I found the chirping. They were kind to me and any laughing that took place was behind my back and that's okay with me.
My next stop: Buy batteries.
