I have a house under contract and the home inspection was done last week. One of the items that the inspector noted was wood rot due to moisture around three of the doors. I was chatting with the listing agent and mentioned that the wood rot caused by moisture would be covered by the WDO. He asked, "What did you say?" Again, I repeated that it would be covered under the WDO. When he asked me about it again, I said it would be covered under the termite and moisture inspection per the contract. Then I explained that in Florida we call it a WDO which is an anocronym for Wood Destroying Organisms. He had never heard it called that.
Would you have known what a WDO is?
