Now on exhibit through October 25, 2015 one can see all the colors of the rainbow and the velvet night time skies on these mannequins who seem to come alive at NorthPark Center Mall in Dallas. The skilled designer's use of silks, satin, shimmering sequence, patterns and attention to detail is truly art and quite remarkable. Each one makes a Fashion Statement!

It's amazing to think what thread can do to a human body turning the model or human form into a work of art. The feminine look is very attractive when the dress fits just right. Each knotted twist tugs at the imagination. How could something so light be so strong? A beautiful dress conjures up many thoughts of signifcant life events. Parties, weddings, proms, ballroom dancing, engagement parties, vacations, anniversaries; so many triumuphs along ones life's journey. Silver was fashionable when I was growing up. I could have danced all night long in my sparkling dress. And then came blue jeans. People were forever in blue jeans...
The right dress made a woman look graceful and her accessories was emblematic of light accentuating her best features. I always knew my parents were going to have a nice evening when my mother put on her pearls. My favorite dress of all time was dark green velvet with satin ribbons. It didn't even matter whether or not I knew how to dance, I seemed to shimmer under the ballroom lights feeling other worldly. I was only 17 years old but I felt like a princess. Every woman should feel respected regardless of who she is or what she wears. The creativity of a dress designer is a gift to people of all ages. The fashions on display at NorthPark Center in Dallas reminded me of dreamy stories of once upon a time...
