During Father's day weekend in June of 2007 I held an open houses on two of my listings.
On Saturday, I was putting out a directional sign in front of another open house in the neighborhood. I wanted to make sure that the public drove further down into the subdivision in order to attend my open house. As I was putting out the sign, a couple came out of another open house and I told them about my listing. Their eyes lit up and they followed me to my listing. A couple of months later, we closed on that sale and I worked with the buyers and the seller.
That open house resulted in two transaction sides!
On Sunday, at my second open house I met a couple who bought a lot of investment property. Within a few months I had sold that couple and some friends each a new home. About two years later, I listed one of those houses and it sold within a few months.
So that weekend I held two open houses that led to five closed transactions sides!
