The Weekend Wine Review is a weekly series I will do on Monday’s post featuring a wine tasted over the weekend. This past week my youngest son and I went to Ferrari-Carano Winery outside of Healdsburg. They make wonderful wines. We went down to the lower level where the wines are mostly for club members only. Yes, we belong to them. We tasted several wines, I tasted their Sauvignon Blanc that is for wine member only, it is not the one you find known as the Fume Blanc the big difference is it is aged in French Oak Barrels and those are tres cher, hence the big difference in Price. We also tasted a Pinot Noir, the Tresor Bordeaux style Red Wine they make, The Prevail Back Forty and The Prevail West Face, we even had Adam open the Pre-Vail Back Forty 2009 and we decided we liked it better than the 2010 which was a very difficult year. I had two of those bottles shipped so Bob and I could enjoy this wonderful wine together but it will not be shipped until November which in this heat……. Adam was a wonderful host! You cannot go wrong with Ferrari-Carano Wines I have never had a bad wine from them. They are actually one of my favorites, so try them out!
