Well, here we are again. As soon as summer arrives it seems it passes just as fast and while at the bittersweet cusp of fall, “back to school” sales are in full throttle, city pools are closed down for the season, and most important to many, Husker football season is at last upon us. This Saturday, September 5th is a game beholding many firsts for the football program, one including the highly anticipated new coach, Mike Riley, formerly of Oregon State University, as well as a new announcer for the Huskers, Lane Grindle. A hopeful curiosity looms over fans across the state while awaiting the outcome of the first game Saturday. A big win aside, huskers alike will be certain to celebrate the dawn of a new era when the electric “Sea of Red” once again washes over Lincoln, Nebraska.
