The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a family fun event that recreates the English village of the 16th century. The festival is in tribute to the visit of Henry VIII. Due to this, the village has a variety of activities; from entertainment to craft displays, a variety of foods, all befitting a king.

The festival brings together a couple of shows you won't want to miss. The stages host a number of performers from across North America and along the streets, there are a number of characters who will ensure you keep the smile and the fun all the way.

Dates for the Maryland Renaissance Festival

The 2015 schedule for the Maryland Renaissance Festival are set from the end of August until late October.

August: 29th and 30th
September: 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27
October: 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25.

What Time Does The Festival Begin?

The Maryland Renaissance Festival is open regardless of the weather or time of the day.
Opening hours begin at 10 am all the way to 7 pm in the evening. However, is you do not want to miss out on the opening gate ceremony, be sure to avail yourself by around 9:45 am.

Where Will The Maryland Renaissance Festival Be Held?

The Maryland Renaissance Festival is located on Crownsville Road in Crownsville, Maryland roughly 8 miles northwest of Annapolis.

What's The Price for the Festival?

Tickets are available at very fair prices. However, before buying a ticket, confirm your day's schedule and also check the weather. From August 29th to September 13th, adults will pay $19.00 while children will pay $8.00. Additionally, the senior gate for adults above 62, the pay is $16.00. For group adult and group child, tickets go for $17 and $7 consecutively.

From September 19th to October 25th, the adult gate charges are $24.00 while the child gate will sell tickets for $10.00. Senior adults and group adult will pay $20.00 while the group child will charge $9 for tickets. For children below 6 years, entrance is free.

Hi Amanda Powell ,  It's been quite a few years since i was at a Renaissance Festival .  It was 1982 in California north of LA.  We have a great time.  I hope you get a chance to go to yours in Maryland.
