It is sometimes difficult to explain to those not of Hawaiian decent, the love and admiration we share for our Ali'i (Hawaiian nobility), the Monarchy and our Royal Hawaiian traditions. Instilled in me by my grandmother virtually from birth, was an acute understanding of the importance of my lineage and to be proud of my mo'olelo or family history.
Queen Lili'uokalani represents our collective movement toward self-determination and the long sought restoration. Come celebrate the legacy of our last sovereign and queen.
