St. Martin's Fair in Franklin, Wisconsin is a time honored tradition at the Hanson house....an annual event attended since I was old enough to walk the streets of Frankln and smell the fresh flowers, choose from dozens of fresh locally grown vegetables.
You might find a kitten to pet, a puppy to cuddle...a unique home made craft....for sure, a cob of corn...bratwurst, hot dogs, burgers...subs...lemonade, soft drinks...pretzels and beer...never a shortage of food varieties ...as the unmistakable sound and aroma of fresh popped corn fills the air.
Wagons toting toddlers and purchases fill the streets. We are likely to find fresh soup ingredients...herbs and there are always the spice wagons with g normous fresh aromatic selections. Recipes dance thru our heads as we stroll the streets.
It's easy to find this traditional street fair. It is located on St. Martin's Road (County Highway MM) from West Forest Home Avenue to West Church Street . Free admission with a small charge for parking.
Fair hours are Sun. Sept. 6th 8 am to 9 pm
Mon. Sept. 7th 6 am to 6 pm
Great people watching...good exercise...forecast for enjoying the sunshine...If you want to call Franklin Wisconsin home...you will enjoy a Milwaukee suburb with some country...some city attributes and conveniently located minutes from General Mitchell FIeld, the shores of Lake Michigan...and the many sports and entertainment venues that the greater Milwaukee area has to offer.
We are happy to be your tour guides and show why we have called Wisconsin our home for a lifetime.
