The Powderhorn Ski Area is on the south side of Grand Mesa.

Buying a Grand Mesa cabin is a bit different than buying a cabin in most other places. You buy a share in the Grand Mesa Resort Company. No land transfers with the purchase. For each lot sold one stock certificate is transferred and that gives you the right to use the land the cabin sits on. When a cabin is sold the new owner becomes a stock holder in the Grand Mesa Resort Company. There is a yearly fee for road maintenance.
