Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest September 12-13
Hard to believe the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest is in its fourteenth year. I remember in the beginning when it was held at Griegs Farm but was later moved to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck NY, a facility equipped to accommodate a large crowd.
This fest is presented by WineRack.com, along with many sponsors.
There is more than wine at this event, beer has been added, not a surprise since more and more small breweries and distilleries are cropping up all over the State.
There are different level of tickets available, the least expensive is for designated drivers or those who will not be participating in the wine or beer tasting. The next level is with wine tasting, and you could pay an additional fee to add beer tasting. Food tasting and additional beer tasting will cost more.
It is best to buy your ticket online ahead of the event since tickets will be more expensive the day of the event.
A quick look at the vendors list revealed many wineries, breweries and distilleries will be participating, as well as specialty food vendors, and other vendors such as those selling jewelry, solar energy, insurance etc.
Then there is the cook food available for purchase from the food truck. I see the Reggae Boys will be there offering Jamaica cuisine. I had met then at another event and I asked about the name and was told it was named after a football team (soccer)in Jamaica, the Reggae Boys.
My only request is that my family members bring me back something Jerk for dinner.
Date: September 12th-13th
Time Saturday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sunday until 5:00PM
This is an event that will appeal to a wide variety of people, just have fun.
