It has been said that NAR owns or controls 80-90% of the MLSs in the United States. This group is meant to serve the “other” 10% of the market; those markets whose MLS data isn’t under direct NAR control. In these markets, Brokers and agents operate much differently than their counterparts in traditional markets. For example, Atlanta GA, is one of the nation’s largest open markets. This environment is very different than most traditional markets.
