The Great Reno Balloon Race 2015 hits town this weekend!  The skies above our Reno community will be filled with beautifully ornate hot air balloons all weekend long.  This is one event you absolutely will NOT want to miss!

What Happens at the Great Reno Balloon Race 2015?

Did you ever release your helium-filled balloon as a kid?  Did you watch in wonder as it went up and up into the atmosphere?  The Great Balloon Race 2015 is like that...but on steroids!  The wonderment remains but the balloons have greatly improved.  These balloons aren't filled with helium, either.  Just good old plain hot air.  And lots of it!

There will be a special preview day launch at 6:45am this Thursday, September 10th.  This is just for the sponsors and media, though.  The official kickoff of the Great Balloon Race 2015 is early on Friday morning at 5:15am.  That is when the Super Glow Show happens.  It will be followed by a mass ascension launch at 6:45am.  If you miss Friday's big event, don't worry.  There will be a Glow Show at 5:15am followed by the mass ascension launch on Saturday and Sunday, too.

Before and after each launch, guests are more than welcome to shop along Balloon Boulevard for merchandise.  There are things available here that you will only find at the Great Reno Balloon Race 2015.  There is even going to be a pajama party from 7am to 8:30am on Saturday morning.  Sign up for the bed head competition.  You might just win some fun prizes.

If you have never seen these amazing balloons get lit up in the dawn's early light, you absolutely MUST come to the Great Reno Balloon Race 2015.  There is nothing like it.  Make sure you bring your camera, too.  You'll want to capture this moment for years to come.
