West Lafayette has an outstanding municipal park system, with hundreds of acres of parkland, plus an outdoor riverfront ice and inline skating center, historic community center, nature center, swimming pool and nationally-recognized trails network that takes you from one end of the city to another. You will also find picnic shelters, a boat ramp, soccer and softball fields and volleyball and basketball courts.
The city's growing trails network includes the Northwest Greenway, Cattail and Wabash Heritage trails - all designated National Recreation Trails. The Trolley Line Trail is a scenic, peaceful one-mile excursion into a former streetcar corridor, ending at Happy Hollow Park, where families can enjoy time together. And you won't want to miss the Wabash Heritage Trail, either.
