2015 Delta County High School Football Scores Weeks 1 and 2
Delta and Hotchkiss just finished their second week of football fun. Paonia and Cedaredge played their first games last Friday. Usually Delta has a longer season, because they are in a larger division, but for some reason Hotchkiss got an early start on the season as well. Hotchkiss will have an off week in the middle of the season to make up for the early start.
Here are the scores from last Friday's ( September 4, 2015 ) games:
- Cedaredge won over Basalt 21 - 6. It was a home game for the Cedaredge Bruins. This Friday Cedaredge will travel to Olathe. The game starts at 7PM.
- Hotchkiss lost to Olathe at home 27 - 29. This came after their first season game win over Ignacio. That was an away game for the Hotchkiss Bulldogs. This Friday the Bulldogs will play Buena Vista at Buena Vista.
- Paonia traveled to Monte Vista and came home victorious. The final score is 21 - 7. This Friday Paonia will play Ignacio. It's a home game and it starts at 7PM.
- Cedaredge, Hotchkiss and Paonia are Division 1 schools.
- The Delta Panthers traveled to Montrose. The Panthers lost that game 7 - 28. In their first game of the season, Delta traveled to Colorado Springs and beat The Classical Academy 38 - 35. Next week Delta will take on Pagosa Springs at home. The game starts at 7PM.
- Delta is a Division 3 school.
It looks like all of the Delta County High Schools are off to a good start on the 2015 football season. Stay tuned for more scores as the season moves forward.
