It is located on the quiet, west side of town. Just over one and a half miles of Surfside Blvd sits along the South Spreader Waterway. The South Spreader Waterway is about 175 feet across with an extensive mangrove preserve on the other side. Beautiful sunsets are just outside the back door each evening. Sidewalks and bike lanes line the two lane road. An attractive median divides the lanes and a speed limit of 35 keeps drivers at bay. 

 The South Spreader Waterway delivers all boaters from the south side of Veterans Memorial Parkway down to the Chiquita Lock and out to the Gulf of Mexico via the Caloosahatchee River.

The south end of Surfside Blvd turns with the waterway and becomes Beach Parkway. The northern ends bends northeast just past SW 29th Ct. It continues north crossing over Veterans, abuts Sandoval and connects to Trafalgar Pkwy at a roundabout. Both gulf access canals and freshwater canals are located along Surfside Blvd. Surfside Blvd is proposed to extend to Pine Island Road in the future.
