Take Measure of Your Accomplishments

“Don’t measure busywork. Don’t measure activity. Measure

accomplishments. It doesn’t matter what people do

as much as it matters what they get done.”

Larry Winget, Author, Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Take measure of your accomplishments

It’s not how busy you are . . . . or how active you become . . . . What becomes critical is what you get done to successfully accomplish your goals and objectives.

There is a big difference between being busy . . . . and being productive.

Focus your efforts on doing what’s important . . . . and in what will contribute to your long term success. Eliminate the busy work that’s drains your time and energy.

Busy work . . . . is a time waster . . . . and returns very little or no value for your efforts.

Focus on . . . . doing what’s important.

When you’re focused on doing what’s important . . . . you will get more done in a shorter period of time. You will also create great productively in your days. Along with . . . . creating positive forward momentum in your career.

You will have a benchmark your career . . . . to look at the directions that your career is moving in. Take measure of your accomplishments . . . . and your progress your making in reaching your goals.

Lou Ludwig , it would be very difficult for me to choose a favorite post from your list of writings; they are all so motivating, inspirational and challenging. Today is just an excellent example -  We can have a daily 'To-Do' list; however, take a second look to see what is really important. Trick is to just measure the important stuff  and not to get caught in daily transient areas; at least do not credit that with 'bonus points'  Hahahaha

Lou Ludwig good stuff! Sometimes we don't even realize we are just doing busy work and not productive work. This holds true to a personal life as well. Most of us want to do things for our family and forget to do things WITH our family.

Lou Ludwig , I read this post of yours this morning and focused my attention. It's now 8 PM and I am closing the office. As I measure my accomplishments of this day, I know there was a marginal improvement. Have to admit I generated a couple lucky breaks - perhaps they were really calculated steps - (now had more time for these.)  I especially recognized and refrained from entertaining nonsense (while fun stuff is great, there is a time and a place.)  Thank you, Lou. I did move forward today. Going to repeat this action tomorrow.

It is a new month, October, and I came back, Lou, to reread one of my favorite posts.  An important thought:  FOCUS ON DOING WHAT IS IMPORTANT!  ~  Got it!
