Snowbird Season is around the corner!
This weekend we are celebrating Goodbye Summer in Margate, Florida with a family fun event, but this also means that snowbird season will be here shortly.
What is a "snowbird"? It is a person, generally retired, that leaves a colder climate in the northern (colder) part of the United States or Canada and migrates for warmer sections of the US, such as Florida, for roughly six months out of the year.
This migration generally takes place between October/November and April/May, depending on when winter is over in the north and when the south starts to heat up again.
We have been very fortunate to help many snowbirds find their second home here in Broward County. Not only do we have our all ages communites, we have a large selection of 55+ communites that either have condos or homes to chose from.
I know it is still pretty warm in the northern states, but pretty soon a cold wind will start to blow making you wish for warmer days! So, remember we have year round sunshine and warm breezes and The Johnson Team is here to help you buy your second home/condo!!
