Joshua White Trio at the Carlsbad Museum of Making Music September 12, 2015
I had the most enjoyable experience of seeing the Joshua White Trio at the Carlsbad Museum of Making Music (MoMM) last night, appearing with Dave Robaire on bass and Mark Ferber on drums.
It was an amazing concert at the Museum, and another impressive example of the national and international talent the Museum of Making Music attracts year after year in Carlsbad.

The video below - just about 4 minutes of one song - will give you a pretty good idea of how talented this pianist is, from his own compositions to improvisational interpretations of jazz classic (one last night by Billy Strayhorn was incredible!).
Joshua White continues to impress the music community, here in Southern California, and nationally, following a second place finish in 2011 in the prestigious Thelonius Monk International Piano Competition in front of famed jazz artist Herbie Hancock.
