What I love about living in Nebraska is the wide variety of fun and entertainment year round available to citizens of all ages. This upcoming weekend (September 18-20th) beholds the annual AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City (just shy of an hour south of Omaha), home of the infamous Lied Lodge and Arbor Day Farm. A highly desired destination for overnighter’s attending the festival is the Lied Lodge and Conference center, which has been recognized by MeetingsFocus.com as one of MidAmerica’s best hotels and resorts for meetings and events in North America for 2015. The AppleJack Festival has additionally received national recognition by being nominated by USA Today’s Top Ten Fall Harvest Festival’s for 2015. It is currently ranked #2! Voting is open until September 28th so vote now! The Festival draws in crowds around the tune of 60,000 – 80,000 people each year and features everything apple you can imagine, as well as the typical festival events: live music, craft fairs, historic tours and much, much more! Let the fall festivities begin!
