The 30th Annual Sandy Springs Festival returns to the heart of Sandy Springs this weekend offering two exciting days of fine art, live music, cultural performances, a pet parade, Chalk Walk Art Competition, 10K and 5K race, children’s programming, classic rides, gourmet and festival food options, and much more.
A community tradition for Sandy Springs since 1984, there is something for everyone at the Sandy Springs Festival. Virtually every kind of art imaginable is represented in the juried Artists Market, plus the Gas South Children’s Park and Teen Territory features huge inflatables, arts & crafts, a petting zoo, and face painting for all ages.
The official start to the Festival is the annual Sandy Springs Lightning 5K/10K, the stages are filled with entertainment and all genres of music, and attendees can nibble on delicious bites throughout the weekend. Oh, and did we mention the annual Pet Parade?
As the primary fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs, the nonprofit organization that saved the original “sandy springs” and is dedicated to building community through preserving and promoting the historic and cultural identity of Sandy Springs, this celebrated community tradition has something for everyone.
The Sandy Springs Festival is held at Heritage Green, 6075 Sandy Springs Circle, Sandy Springs, GA and the surrounding area. Festival dates and hours are Saturday, September 19, 2015, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 20, 2015, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for Adults (age 18+) and $2 for Youth (ages 6 – 17). Children ages 5 and under and Heritage Sandy Springs Members are free. Two-day passes are also available for adults ($7) and youth ($3).
All proceeds benefit Heritage Sandy Springs, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicate to building community through preserving and promoting the historic and cultural identity of Sandy Springs.
Join ArtSS at the Sandy Springs Festival on Saturday, September 19th for the 4th Annual ArtSS Chalk Walk chalk art competition.
Participants purchase a 4′ X 4′ sidewalk square for $10 which includes free admission to the festival. Individuals or teams are eligible. 1st ($250), 2nd ($125) and 3rd ($75) prizes awarded for Adult, High School and Middle School levels. Special $200 Spectators Choice award too! Open to everyone!
Registration is $10 per entrant. Space is limited so artists are encouraged to register in advance.
