As a home seller on Long Island, you probably dream of getting a buyer who will make a full price offer on your house.
Well, imagine you receive a strong offer the first few days after being listed. It's a strong offer, but not the full offer you were expecting. Should you snatch that offer and start packing, or do you make a counter-offer?
It's human nature that sellers may now think they listed it too low. "We should have listed it higher". But, most of the time, it was the right price, at the right time, with the right buyer!
We have seen sellers refuse a strong offer at the start, and then receive less substantial offers as time goes by. Keep in mind, a home is worth only what a buyer is willing to pay for it at the time it is on the market. Before you turn down a great offer, think about it. It may be the best deal for you!
