Highland Park ISD to raze 3 schools with $358 million dollar bond package?

Robert Wilonsky from the Dallas Morning News reported on July 29, 2015 on The Scoop Blog that the new $358 million dollar bond package proposed by Highland Park ISD would require razing three current elementary schools and rebuilding the schools as a necessary step to easing the crowding of the district's elementary schools.

The three elementary school structures on the chopping block are Bradfield Elementary School, Hyer Elementary School and University Park Elementary.  Only Armstrong Elementary seems to be escaping demolition.   Bradfield and University Park Elementaries were built in the 1920's and Hyer was opened in 1949 according to Wilonsky's article.
