Joan, I was up in NY state, visiting my first home with my sister and we stopped at a local (and darling) farmer's market sort of place. I picked up Macs, Macintosh apples and oh-my-gosh, they were so GOOD! Nothing like local crispy, juicy "just picked" apples from a local area! Fabulous!

Love fall apples especially fresh picked ones.  Joan Whitebook Combining Apple Fest & start of Salvation Army's annual kettle drive is great to enjoy fall's bounty & help others.  Your post brings back good memories of attending Apple Fest near my hometown.  Thanks.
