Hounds on the Sound. For the past few years, this wonderful event has been held in New Rochelle.  It is a coordinated event, jointly run by both the New Rochelle Humane Society and Pet Rescue. It was devised to both have fun, to proudly walk our pooches, and to also raise much needed funds.

“Pet Rescue and New Rochelle Humane Society Dog Walk-a-thon & Festival – Enjoy a leisurely stroll with your dog on a path bordering the Long Island Sound, followed by a fun day at the park. Vendors, refreshments, activities for kids, demonstrations, dog contests, photo booth, music & much, much more! Dogs and cats will be available for adoption. ”

Registration begins at 10:00am
New Rochelle Humane Society & Pet Rescue are teaming up to raise funds for cats and dogs in need. Proceeds will benefit both organizations plus a portion of the profits will be used to help the animals at the Mount Vernon Shelter. Come join in the festivities and help us to continue with our mission to save the lives of these beautiful, helpless creatures.
