Talking House Radio Network - Survey

The purpose of this survey is to gather information about a marketing tool called TALKING HOUSE.  It is a National Association Of Realtors, sanctioned product that I was convinced would be the greatest prospecting tool.  After two months of using it however, I changed my position.  My "coach" was so irritated by my decision, he tried to lecture me about the consequences of bad decision-making.  He stated that thousands of Agents across the USA, were using it with much success.  I have often wondered if I should have given it more time.  My hope is that this survey will appeal to agents who have used it, those who have considered using it and consumers who have responded to the talking house radio network.

Please take a few minutes to answer the below questions:

1.  Have you ever heard about Talking House?

2 . If yes. have you ever used it?

3.  If you have used this marketing system, what were some of the marketing challenges you experienced with it?                                                                                 

4   In terms of Return, was the investment worthwhile?

5.  Would you recommend this system to others? 

6.  If you previously used Talking House, why did you stop?

7.  If you are a buyer or seller, have you ever responded to a Talking House Broadcast?

I have used it and got no results.  I have an 800 line with recorded information and do much better.  I like Freadom Voice.  Very happy with the results.

The technology is, IMHO, dated and ineffective.  To answer your questions:

  2. YES
  3. Setting it up, recording the messages, etc.
  4. NOT AT ALL

  7. I am not a buyer or seller but I never received a call from the product

I have used it and it did not work for me either.  The 1-800 numbers are much more effective.  So I agree with Gary.

Other than using some scripts as a guideline and some of their suggestions for uses I didn't use a marketing system.                                                                             

4   In terms of Return, was the investment worthwhile?

In my case it was.

5.  Would you recommend this system to others? 

I have recommended to many.

I will continue to use it.

One thing I've found is that the Talking House works very well in certainapplications, asserting yourself and taking the time to find those applications is typically why it fails for agents. In my experience these applications can change radically from one area to the other. I have had good results converting FSBO's, new construction, the seller that wants just a little more, homes that aren't top notch with the curb appeal but have special features inside, etc. It's not for everyone but I think it's what you make of it.

I was on the right station, but nothing happened so I drove off Hey Lloyd, I looked into it, but after about 3 times of trying to tune in when I saw it with no luck, I got the idea that just tune to this station didn't always work out so well, i use a 800 line and love it. It might of worked for some but i agree it is a betamax or laser disc, just not enough sticking power in todays market. Ask yourself how many people use their radio vs. cell phone. It's a big thumbs down for me.
