Take a Moment or Two . . .

By

How often do we say that we are just too busy to take time off?

Oh my, how often I have said those very words.

How long does the sunset last?

Lake Sunset

Miles to go and so many things to do before I sleep.

 Mothers Roses

So glad I took this picture of Mother's rose garden just before . . .

"Watch the grass grow"

Dave's favorite saying, "Watch the grass grow,"  while sitting on our front porch

Yes, take a moment or two to just 'Enjoy the journey for the station will arrive soon enough.'  'The true joy of life is the trip.'   'Life must be lived as we go along.'

No matter how busy we are, no matter what commitments we might have, STOP and ENJOY the moment.  Take a deep breath deeply.

Early in my real estate career I was busy listing & selling, training new agents and teaching real estate classes on weekends.  I was too busy to take a day off, but my very smart broker suggested,  "If you can't take a whole day off, take half day off."

Lesson learned!!!  If you can't take whole day off, take half day off.  If you can't take half day off take ten minutes to BREATHE.

Keep in mind that we will arrive at the station soon enough.  We just don't know exactly when we will arrive at the station.  Take a moment to watch the sunset . . .  to take a walk . . . smell the roses . . . watch the grass grow.  Take a moment or two to 'Relish the moment.'

You definitely have to take time to slow down and enjoy life. It will pass you by too fast and you will miss many great things if you dont

I agree with you...time to slow down and smell the roses?

I am an empty nester this Fall and still can't figure out how the time flew by me...Having a very difficult time, however, it taught me to appreciate every minute of the day to focus on what is really important...relationships. Can't go back on time, but I sure as heck will improve going forward. I learned this Summer to take short weekend daily trips and it has been wonderful. (S)

Hi Mary,

Slowing down is good for the mind, the body and the soul.

It makes us better and gives us the strength and focus we need daily.

Enjoy the rest of the week!
