Loving the Tucson weather - and taking advantage of the cooler temps - just in the past few days - there have been numerous search and rescues of people who have gone hiking and did not consider - the rain - and the washes and sudden flash flooding.
There were lots of rescues this summer from people hiking in the heat and not being prepared - and now many venture out not being prepared - or simply when they shouldn't - in areas they should go to - that are flooded from the rains! As lovely and wonderful as the water looks it is also very dangerous!
Be careful out there - jsut a few tips to consider - stay hydrated, bring enough food and water for your hike, stay away from "known" areas of flooding and washes, and if you go alone - tell someone where you are and bring your cell phone!
