Messy Bookcase Could Equal Heavy Eengy in Feng Shui

Home Stager with Feng Shui Manhattan Long Island #888

As a lover of books and exploring new topics, I too need to be mindful of my bookcases - making sure they are not overflowing and falling off my shelves. Books in feng shui relate to the life section of knowledge, which is wonderful, but having too many could create an in-balance of harmony.

Simply put, too many books in any given area of your home, let that be wealth, health, knowledge or career could relate to overwhelming the space (emotionally and mentally). It could feel weighed down energetically and visually, creating a it feeling of heaviness.

It's best to sort through your books from time to time and take an inventory of what you are really reading, will read and could be donated. By doing this, you create a constant path of movement that symbolically and literally allows for new knowledge and experiences to step into your life for expanded growth.

Took most of my books to the friends of library. I have online sources these days.

I think messy anything. I often wonder of people have the ability to look at their own home and be objective...they really need a consult.

Thanks Laura.  I have given or donated most of my books.  Strange because only a few do I read more than once, and yet sometimes I still miss having them on a shelf.  I do like the no clutter though.  Always the scales to keep it even.  Mark

Good morning Laura. I never really looked at it this way, but i makes good sense. Now I can understand, why we have been reducing the number of books we have and donating them to various organizations.

Make it a great weekend!
