If you think you live in an expensive place and difficult to make your ends meet. You should review and avoid these places to live.
This list does not include home prices. Just rent and cost of doing business and frequency.....
1 New York City
Prices are high in New York, it’s the rent that landed New York is worlds highest — with a furnished two-room apartment running an average of $4,650 in Manhatten.
2 Zurich
Zurich would be the most expensive city on earth for goods and services. Residents of this city spend more than $3,600 a month on goods and services. Rent is trailing New York City.
3 Geneva
Prices in Geneva are close to Zurich. Rent is just over $2,800 for a furnished two-room apartment and the average family spends more than $3,500 a month on rest.
4 Oslo
High prices on goods and services — families spend more than $3,100 a month. Rents, though high (at $2,000 for a furnished two-room apartment), are still just over half of what they are in New York.
5 London
A combination of high rents (more than $2,800 a month) and high prices (an average month of goods and services costs more than $2,800).
6 Hong Kong
Rents in Hong Kong are astronomical (more than $4,400 for a furnished two-room, the second highest in the world), which helps cement Hong Kong’s No. 6. Prices for goods and services in the area are more reasonable. I try to avoid the tourist attraction and find the local eateries and services are about 1/3 less than US.
7 Chicago
The Windy City, which ranks 7th boasts both high prices and high rents. Renting a furnished two-room will cost one an average of $2,500 a month (roughly the same as in Zurich) and a month of goods and services will cost nearly $2,800.
8 Copenhagen
Goods and services are steep here (residents spend almost $3,000 a month), though rents are more reasonable ($1,450) . Chicago is one of the most vibrant midwest US cities and one of the most expensive cities to live.
9 Sydney
Rents for a furnished two-bedroom in this city cost more than $2,000 a month, and goods and services nearly $2,700 a month. That leaves little savings left for one wage earner in 9th most expensive place to live.
10 Toyko
The No. 10 spot on this list goes to Toyko, thanks in large part to its very pricey goods and services ($2,800 a month).
Rents in Tokyo are far more reasonable at $1,370 a month for a furnished two-cardboard boxes.
