Hi Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint
He was quite a guy and I think he is #5 of the 5 top baseball players of all time.
Hi Hannah Williams
How are you sweetie? Looking forward to seeing you in a few months.
Good Friday morning Kristen. He was a wonderful baseball player and it is sad to see that we lose another baseball icon.
Yes, here in NY, we are all very sad. He was definitely part of my childhood...and my dad's. What a wonderful man who had such a big impact.
He is an icon for America. My husband loves his quotes and uses them often. They make you think.
Kristen, the year the Mets won the World Series, I was working in an airline ticket office on Wall Street, and we had front row seats for their ticker tape parade. It was so cool!
And thank you so much for compiling his words of wisdom.
Debbie Reynolds is so right-he is and will always be an American icon and I too remember when the Mets won the world series! Thank you Kristen for the tribute and the compilation.
Kirstin being a Die-Hard RedSox fan I was sad when I heard his passing and all the Yogie-isms that will now be quoted and no new ones to add to it....Endre
Kristin,
We love Yogi and my husband collects old Yankee memorabilia. Well actually he only has a few items under 10.
Hi Michael Thornton
I totally agree. I have never known why I love the Yankies and not the CA teams? I used to know all their names and info about each player. Over the years I have had to replace that info with real estate data.
Hi Women of Westchester Working Together
I can imagine how important he was to all the New York residents. He will be missed forever.
Hi Debbie Reynolds
Yes, his yogi-isms are still ver popular and I might just find his book and read it.
Hi Patricia Kennedy
He was a good man and well liked by most. I bet that game was one of your most important events.
Joanna Cohlan
It was fun getting the data and writing this one. Yogi will be m missed.
Hi Endre Barath, Jr.
I loved his Yogi-isms and knew them before I even knew he was the one who said them. My mom and dad used to say them a lot.

Hi Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert
I am sure a lot of Yogi memorabilia will go way up in price now. Such a good time to grow up when life was so simple.
Hello Kristin ... a huge loss and your post has been featured to the group:
