October 2015 Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Project Go Pink is a local event coordinated by the Middlesex Hospital and local business to raise awareness about Breast Cancer throughout the community.
Project Go Pink is an annual event in which local Breast cancer survivors are self-nominated, or nominated by a family member or friend for a free make-over. Ten women are chosen to participate at the “Project Pink Fashion Show” for their courageous battle with breast cancer.
All money raise from the “Project Pink Fashion Show” is donated to the Middlesex Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center. All funds raised go to helping patients pay for services that are not normally covered by health insurance plans such as:
- Massage therapy
- Reflexology
